“You get to listen to master musicians who create a diverse sound out of improvisation and try it out in every direction. Psychedelic and post-bop even appear on the fringes. A jazz album for everyone who wants to have a go at jazz again.” – HHV Mag

“This album celebrates the importance and beauty of connection and collaboration among forward-thinking artists. Remarkable from the first to last note, this absolutely one of the best albums released in 2022.” – Beat Caffeine

“It's both intimate and groovy, warm and mysterious. Intense and perfect. It's a real revelation.”Jazzques

Selected discography

  • Rosa Brunello is an Italian bass player and composer whose skills range from free improvisations to electric rock, dub and south-american music. She loves to blend acoustic and electronic sounds in order to challenge the boundaries between genres and live up to her motto of music without borders.

She developed her musical style while playing and studying in Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam and has developed her sound through performances around the globe. She is a curious traveler, who is persistently drawn to stray from the beaten path. She has extensively toured in South America, Japan, Canada, Egypt and all over Europe.

Along her travels she collaborates with influential artists such as jazz icon Dee Dee Bridgewater, visionary Egyptian producer Maurice Louca, British-Arabic star Yazz Ahmed, eclectic drummer-producer Tommaso Cappellato, saxophonist/composer and multi-wind instrumentalist Tamar Osborn, singer-composers Camilla Battaglia and Alessia Obino, jazz saxophone player Chelsea Carmichael and guitarist Enrico Terragnoli.

In 2022, she releases "Sounds Like Freedom" for the Los Angeles record label Domanda Music, followed by "Senseless Acts Of Love" (May 6, 2024) alongside Yazz Ahmed, Tamar Osborn, Luca Tapino, Enrico Terragnoli, Maurice Louca, and Marco Frattini on the same label.

Her recent album Sounds Like Freedom has been sold all around the world and played by some of the most popular radio stations such as Worldwide FM, NTS Radio, Bandcamp Weekly and more.
